Life and Death returns to the ROM industry with an even better version of the series. Everything is an improvement, more surgeries, more patients, more depth, more character interaction around the hospital. It is true to its title however, and introduces brain surgery as a playable option and now is a fairly large role in the game. You start in school and learn a few medical procedures and how to properly diagnose patients then you are finally given your first patient whose life is in your hands. You need to make sure to properly diagnose and treat your patient before they die. This game gets exciting when you get your first patient and doesn’t let up until the very end so I highly recommend everyone at least give this game a shot.

Life and Death is simply one of the best surgery simulators ever made. Still today the graphics aren’t all that bad and the amount of depth that the game play has is just amazing, you will feel like you are really there performing the procedure on a patient. The game play depth doesn’t stop there however, you actually play the life of a doctor and diagnose patients, go to school, then you get to operate on the patient. The basic formula is that you learn some things at a school type setting to be able to diagnose and then treat your patient with what you learned. Sometimes its a bit overwhelming and you can forget some things that you are told and that can be problematic but for the most part if you are paying attention it will be a fun and enjoyable experience.
